Unless you are a CEO of a major firm in town, chances are you are not hanging out at the top of a Downtown skyscraper, soaking in the view with a morning coffee or evening cocktail. But that could change with the opening of Pittsburgh’s latest co-working space, Industrious. Located at the top of One PPG Place, the new space is seriously elevating the co-working game Downtown and citywide.

Hailing from Brooklyn with offices in 20 markets, Industrious might just be the new gold standard for Pittsburgh co-working. For starters…their view is insane. Taking up the whole 31st floor, your views vary pending on which way you walk to your office that day. But no matter which way you look, the vistas are borderline distractingly amazing. And with that view it’s hard to compete so rather than do so, the designers of the space didn’t.

The finishes throughout are clean-lined and simple. Each office is separated by glass walls with a custom wood topped workspaces, Herman Miller chairs, and polished industrial concrete flooring. The design focal of the office is the lounge featuring a killer vantage of the point and the Ohio River and a space that will have you wanting to grab your computer to work there for the day. And you can too! There is a bar stocked with local brews, coffee station pouring Commonplace Coffee & a revolving roaster and tons of space to take meetings, eat lunch or relax after a stressy day.

There is also a full kitchen where daily treats show up like bagels from Bluebird Kitchen, pastries from La Gourmandine and a basket of snacks around 3pm cause who doesn’t want a snack then!? Then there are the parties and community events exclusive for members like weekly happy hours and fireworks watch parties where you can bring family and friends.

And since you are there to work not just hang out there is also conference rooms, ultra-fast WIFI, private phone rooms, unlimited printing and private offices for 1 member teams to many. They also have stacks of Urbanist Guides to give to visiting clients to ensure they are doing the city justice. Sound good to you? Yep, same here! For those interested in checking out the space or just those nebby view seekers out there, Industrious is hosting a launch party that is free and open to the public. All you need to do is RSVP. If a private tour is more your thing, schedule one here.
