No matter how perfectly you plan your holiday shopping or how early you get your wrapping done, it seems like you need at least one last-minute gift every year. If your co-worker surprises you with an unexpected gift that you have to reciprocate or you forgot about that one cousin from out of town, these are some easy last-minute gifts that you can pick up on your way to the party.

A museum membership. This creative gift is so cool that your friend won’t even realize that you almost forgot to give them a gift at all. An annual membership to the Carnegie Museums starts at just $75 and grants you access to all four Carnegie Museums, while an annual membership to Phipps starts at $65 for an individual or $89 for a couple. A museum membership is also a great last-minute gift because you can buy it without even leaving the house!

A hat from Steel City. If you live or work downtown, pop in to the Steel City brick-and-mortar store to pick up a cozy beanie with some Pittsburgh flair. It’s great for that friend who always comes home for the holidays, but it’s also great for you because you don’t have to guess anyone’s clothing size. Open til 3p.

A Candle from Roxanne’s Dried Flowers. Everyone loves being gifted a candle, but those synthetic smelling holiday candles that you always seem to get just leave something to be desired. Instead, head to Roxanne’s in the Strip District for handmade candles and other luxuriously scented home goods. Best of all, they’ll wrap it up for you on site, so you can just grab it and go.  Open til 4p.

A Bottle of Wigle Something. When in doubt, stock up on booze to gift to all of those friends that somehow slipped your mind while shopping. Head over to Wigle in the Strip to pick up all things booze, from a growler of their new, house-made dry cider to one of their countless varieties of spirits. (Tip: We’re big fans of their gin.)
