We’ve always been a beer town.  Built on the backs of Iron City, Duquesne, and others Pittsburgh has and will always be a beer town.  But in recent years, the shift in beer has swung towards craft beers and not missing a beat, Pittsburgh has jumped on board.  Full Pint Brewing, East End Brewing,  Church Brew Works and  The Brew Gentlemen Brewing Co  are just a few of the many out there that are kicking out amazing craft beers worth celebrating.  And celebrate we will.

Kicking off April 19 through the 27th is the second annual Pittsburgh Craft Beer Week.  Started in 2012, the week is packed with events all things beer.   Samplings, beer brunches, tap takeovers, happy hours, food truck parties, booze cruises, coursed dinner pairings…the list goes on and on at locations all across the city.  And while many of the events highlight PGH Brews, there still are great other features from the likes of Great Lakes, Victory, Bell’s, Sly Fox, and more.   Click here for the complete listing of events and featured breweries.

For something uniquely Pittsburgh based, do not miss trying the five different 2013 edition collaborative brews from 5 different breweries, 25 individual brewers from 15 local breweries.  With some of the heaviest hitters in PGH brewing participating, these bad boys are gonna be good!
