URBANIST X FEDERAL GALLEY BEER GARDEN LAUNCH PARTY
While it hasn’t felt like beer garden weather for much of April, it seems like springy weather is here and we are ready to celebrate in the sun with a beer in our hand. And what makes that all the more exciting is the city’s new beer drinking location; the brand new beer garden at Federal Galley! To welcome them to the city, we are joining in on the fun to throw a launch party that you and your friends need to add to your Saturday night itinerary.
Kicking off at 7pm on April 14th, find us on the patio with 100+ of our beer drinking friends drinking from Federal’s extensive list of local drafts, canned wine and what will soon to Federal Galley’s famed creation, the pooched cocktail. Channeling your fifth grade lunchroom, these cocktails look like a Capri Sun and are named after Mighty Morphin Power Rangers like Kimberly Hart with rosé vodka, aperol, grapefruit, vanilla, peychaud’s bitters and the Billy Cranston with cachaça, blue curacao, banana, coconut, orange, angostura bitters. And it’s way better than fifth grade cause…booze.
Before you finish that second(or third) Kimberly Hart, make sure you head inside to grab snack from one of the four restaurant concepts inside (we are digging on Supper’s poutine with duck fat fries) and grab a seat to listen to local musician Avi Diamond. Her self-described style is ‘sounds like a mix between Fiona Apple, Thelonious Monk, and Radiohead’ and will be the perfect backdrop to your cool, spring beer drinking evening. And all summer, look to the beer garden to be one of your regular spots for live music with local acts performing every Thursday.
Ok, so now that we have your plans set for next Saturday, lets move on to Fido. Are you going to bring him with you as well? Cause like our other favorite beer garden at Grist House, Federal Galley’s dual spaced beer garden is also dog friendly and much needed new spot to take our pups this summer. Urbanist cover dog Clark will be there and is always looking for new friends, so he votes yes to bringing your pooch.
