Gents….here is your warning.  Valentine’s is but a few, days away?  Have you made reservations for dinner yet?  Cause seriously, last year’s leftover chinese was not your best move.   To keep you out of the doghouse, we rounded up some of the best options for a nice dinner out in the city.  And you better hurry; tables are going fast and you really don’t want to be those people eating at 5:30.  For those happily single, don’t worry, we didn’t forget you either.

UMAMI: And on the eighth day God created the prefix with options that includes oysters and ramen. Four courses for $42 per person with an optional cocktail pairing. Vegetarian menu available too.

CASBAH:  Travel to the Mediterranean this Valentine’s Day with a visit to Casbah in Shady Side. They channel these Mediterranean vibes with their year-round garden patio, locally sourced offerings, homemade pasta and old world wine list. LEGUME: If you have been saving you trip to Legume for a special occasion, make it this one.  They are offering a special prix fixe menu for Valentine’s Day, along with a la carte options. Butterjoint will be open for walk-ins and will offer the full Legume menu as well.

CASELLULA You really can’t lose with wine and cheese so it a prefix isn’t your speed, head over to this new spot in the Mexican War streets for snacky meal for two.

STATION These guys hold the honor of the best bang for the Valentine’s buck with their amazing sounding $36 three-course prefix and $25 wine pairing.  They also are running it from the 10th to the 16th for those who can’t swing the 14th.

THE COMMONER  Can’t swing Valentine’s Day?  Commoner has you covered with their Valentine’s Day dinner being held on Wednesday, February 15th, the day after the big day. They will be offering a tasting menu from Chef Wyatt Lash with 5 courses at $145 per person with includes a Veuve Clicquot Champagne pairing with each course.  Cheers.

MARKET STREET GROCERY  While a market isn’t where you’d expect to land on Valentine’s Day, if you do count yourself lucky. MSG will offer two seatings in their wine bar from 6:00-8:00pm and 8:00-10:00pm. The five-course meal will feature local, fresh, and house-made ingredients as well as complimentary wine pairings with each course. $75/person.

PICCOLO FORNO  If you are one of the lucky ones that can score a table, expect 4-courses of rustic Italian deliciousnesss on Valentines Day. They also will offer a vegetarian option. For the full menu click here.  And as always, BYOB.

SPOON With one of the top sommelier’s in town, you’re going to want to add the $40 wine pairing to Chef Jamika Borges’ special three-course menu for $70 per person in the new dining rooms at Spoon.

KAYA If you can’t swing the improntu flight to the Caribbean this Valentine’s Day, don’t worry. You can find the atmosphere and the taste of the exotic foods in the Strip District at Kaya.
