What if we told you that soon, your favorite place for a cocktail would be in a vacant parking lot — and by soon, we mean by the end of this week?

The forces behind Round Corner Cantina and Urbanist Guide (that’s us!) are collaborating on a pop-up bar concept located in a vacant Fifth Ave parking lot in Pittsburgh’s Uptown neighborhood. AllSummr will be part tiki bar, part biergarten, and it will center around two massive, festival-style tents filled with Tulum-inspired rattan furnishings, vintage rugs and lots of greenery.

If you’ve been paying attention, you know we’re suckers for all things outdoors as soon as the thermostat hits 50 degrees, so needless to say, we’re going to take full advantage of this summery parking lot pop-up.  Rain or shine, the party will be happening every weekend with Spritzes, snacks, all the palm trees, barbecue, crisp IPAs and DJ sets ready and waiting for your arrival.

During the daytime, AllSummr’s biergarten will host barbecues from neighborhood friends like Z Best BBQ and rotating food trucks alongside family-friendly games.  Once evening hits, of-age guests can enjoy sets from local DJs, a tiki bar, a 21-tap beer wagon and a cocktail bar sponsored by Absolut while kicking back under the tents lit by Uptown lighting guru Todd Kebbs. Local favorite bars like SpiritRound Corner Cantina and Tina’s have already signed on for pop-up cocktail events in the space, with pop-up shopping events from some of our favorite local shops joining the party. Kicking off our event series on July 4th, artist and photographer Huny Young will host Diaspora 2 Dope 2.0, a summer block party to christen the space.

The community-driven event space will focus on not only hosting guests for food and beverages, but will even contribute a portion of its proceeds toward regular neighborhood cleanup and will feature a monthly nonprofit. July’s nonprofit is BOOM Concepts, an organization and gallery supporting local artists, musicians and entrepreneurs.  The pop-up bar will also host curated events by some of Pittsburgh’s most forward-thinking organizers and social curators.
