Between a giant 40ft rubber duck, incredible gallery openings at Wood Street Galleries, SPACE, and others, as well as a Night Market spanning the Roberto Clemente Bridge; Downtown Pittsburgh will be the place to be this Friday.  Stressed about how to fit it all in?  We got you covered.  Here is our stress free plan of attack for the evening.

5pm: Don’t fool yourself.  You just got done with a long week and you aren’t about to start racing around.  Instead beeline to Market Square and hit up il Pizzaiolo or Sienna Sulla Piazza for a cocktail and a snack on either of their respective patios.  Its in the mid-70’s and sunny in PGH in September; embrace it!

6:30pm:  Now that you have decompressed, head over to Wood Street Galleries where the Hive exhibit by Kurt Hentschlager opens.  Hive is presented by the Cultural Trust’s International Festival of Firsts which kicks off a month of programming never seen before in the US.   For the Hive exhibit, think Ghost Busters meets deep space.

6:50pm: Take the T from Wood Street Station across the river to North Side Station, stroll over the Roberto Clemente Bridge.

7:15pm: Take in the sights!  The 6th Street Bridge will be closed and packed with over 60 local vendors including Pavement, Dead Bury Dead, TOWNHOUSE, Mid-Atlantic Mercantile, Tugboat Print Shop and more.  And oh course, the internationally traveled 40ft Rubber Ducky by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman will be floating right below!  Hang out, shop, snack!
