Its no secret that there are amazing things happening in Pittsburgh.  From restaurants to retail, Pittsburgh is coming into its own.   Adding fuel to the fire, enter Trade Union.  Trade Union, launching at the end of the month, will be a biannual event with a goal to bring together established and emerging brands from across the region in different disciplines for a day to celebrate and highlight each other.  Trade Union is a reaction to the craft heavy shows that dominate the area and instead work with a small, handpicked group of businesses that stress creativity and design.

The event will be hosted by group Pittsburghers that are enthused with the positive changes across the city’s design community; Emily Slagel (Mid-Atlantic Mercantile), Jason Seltzer (J. Seltzer Associates), Merissa Lombardo (The Mine Factory/Set Design), and yours truly.  We are thrilled with the vendors we lined up for the first event which include:

Moop: Waxed canvas mens/womens bags
Red Raven: Porcelain keepsakes
1820 House Candle Co: Hand-poured candles
The Ardent Forager: Vintage housewares
Mid Atlantic Mercantile: Fine clothing and heirloom quality goods

Stocking Noir: Women’s legware

In addition to our listing of incredible vendors, we have partnered with UpTo, the pop-up marketing project by Shift Collaborative to offer alla cart marketing/design services for attendees who are looking to start a project/business of their own.  We also will have a DJ playing tunes all day alongside food/drinks from Round Corner Cantina, Jeremy’s Cart (serving Blue Bottle Coffee), and the BRGR Truck alongside complementary happy hour from from 4-6pm.
